Kim's Bio

What to say about me? To really know me, you have to know about my family....my favorite people in the world. I have the best parents, Mike and Claudia. They have been married for 31 years and have been such great role models and support to me and my two brothers (Pete 30 and Jonathan 22). I have a wonderful sister in law and the CUTEST nephew in the world.
I graduated in 2002 from the University of Central Florida with a Special Education degree. I taught children with behavior disorders for two years.

The life of a Floridian can be quite interesting. I am living proof. Just when I thought I was pretty much settled down...Florida was slammed with four major hurricanes. Through that, God showed me he had other plans for my life. I joined AmeriCorps*VISTA (just like the Peace Corps, but in the US) and moved all the way to Victorville, California. Moving to California was one of the best things that ever happened in my life. While in California, I worked with foster youth and teenagers that had been expelled from school. We also opened a Boys and Girls Club. It was a very rewarding job.

After my year in California the Lord put the World Race on my heart. 2006 for me was spent traveling around the world with 22 of the greatest people ever. We had the opportunity to see the world while serving God. We worked in orphanages, taught English in schools, built houses, and so much more. It was the best year of my life....so far.

I also had the opportunity to join the Global Challenge and go around the world again!!! I spent 3 months in South Africa planning for an 80 day trip around the world. 15 of us went around the world doing various ministries! It was a great experience.

During the past two trips, I have had the desire to see other people with similar backgrounds as me experience what I have. I am now about to go around the world for the third time.

I am really excited to see all my friends at the orphanage in India and to experience 3 new countries.

Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations..." I'm going!
